Book review of Future Friend

Future Friend is a brilliant and hilarious book written by best-selling author David Baddiel, and illustrated by Steve Lenton. It is suitable for children about 7 - 10 years old. Pip comes from the time 3020 and goes through a portal in time, and travels to the time 2019, where a boy named Rahul lives. Pip and Rahul’s lives are very different, Pip lives in a times where the sky is red, floods happen frequently and chickens rule the world, and goes to a virtual school on her G-glasses, with a pet cat and a pet parrot. Rahul is a young inventor who lives in a time where you can still go outside and there isn’t chickens patroling the planet. When Pip goes through the portal of space and time and travels to 2019, she finds Rahul, and the two adventurous children become friends. Together they go on an adventure to try and get Pip back through the portal in 3020.
